Sathuvachari(சத்தூவாச்சாரி) ( from Saththuuvaachcheri சத்தூவாச்சேரி ) is a town located in east of Vellore city in Vellore district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is situated in the bank of Palaar River. Sathuvachari, a well developed part of Vellore with Collectorate, District Court, Vellore Dist.Co.op. Milk Producers' Union Ltd (Aavin), Tamil Nadu Housing Board Quarters, Regional Transport Office, Government and Private Educational Institutions. National Highway passes through Sathuvachari making travel to Chennai and Bengaluru fast and easy.

A gym in Sathuvachari is proud of weightlifters who won international competitions.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census [GR|India] , Sathuvachari had a population of 45,439. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Sathuvachari has an average literacy rate of 79%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 84%, and female literacy is 75%. In Sathuvachari, 10% of the population is under 6 years of age.
