Renigunta is a huge suburban and Industrial Estate of Tirupati City , the major piligimage centre and the famous holy city for Hindus. Earlier , Renigunta was set up as a Railway junction to deconjest the Railway traffic at Tirupati East railway station. Later in 1970s an airport , the present TIRUPATI airport was set up.. regular Flight services are now available to Tirupati. Renigunta also includes karakambadi where Famous amusement park for Tirupathi residents , the grand world is located. Renigunta is also house for the India's renowned AmaraRaja batteries Factory and ECIL. This Tirupati Suburban , famously known as the 'Dwaar' to the temple city of Tirupati also houses many Sugar industries , Oil and chemical industries , Tirupati's urban satellite townships , many Colleges and institutions and mainly Media and Newspaper agencies for the entire Tirupati City. Renigunta has famous Railway Carriage repair shop , called RCS which is ISO certified. A large power plant is situated here , which supplies power to Tirupati City and adjoining suburbans. Renigunta is recently clubbed in the Tirupati Municipal Corporation limits. IT and BPO establishments of Tirupati are being set up near the Airport in Renigunta.
