Remuna is a town and a notified area committee in Baleshwar district in the Indian state of Orissa.

Geography

Remuna is located at coord|21.53|N|86.87|E| [ [http://www.fallingrain.com/world/IN/21/Remuna.html Falling Rain Genomics, Inc - Remuna] ] . It has an average elevation of 20 metres (65 feet).

Demographics

As of 2001 India census [GR|India] , Remuna had a population of 28,958. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Remuna has an average literacy rate of 61%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 69%, and female literacy is 53%. In Remuna, 14% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Historical Place

KheeraChora Gopinath temple which is one of the famous temple in Orissa is situated in Remuna also. The "Kheera" prasadam, which is prepared in this temple is also very delicious and famous.
