Kaveripattinam is a panchayat town in Krishnagiri district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is approximately 100km from Bangalore. The town is very green because of the KRP Dam nearby. Kaveripattinam is famous for its cultivation of mangoes. There are lot of mango pulp industries, milk processing units and small scale industries.

As of 2001 India census [GR|India] , Kaveripattinam had a population of 14,417. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Kaveripattinam has an average literacy rate of 74%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 81%, and female literacy is 67%. In Kaveripattinam, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Now Kaveripattinam is come under Krishnagiri District, a newly carved out district from Dharmapuri.

A beautiful river called as 'South Pennar' passes through Kaveripattinam which adds more glory and greenish to this tiny town.

Still many traditinal activities are being followed by the people of Kaveripattinam.Festivals like Maha Shivaraathiri, Pongal are very famous in this area.

The people are highly cultured and so polite with everyone.Kaveripattinam owns the districts biggest Boys Higher Secondary School.There are about 15 match industries in this town. we can see this matchboxes anywhere in India which are orign of this small town.
