"Chief of Naval Operations" is the senior military officer in the People's Navy under the Legislaturalists. It is a cabinet-level position, and answers to the Secretary of War. The last person to hold this position before the Pierre Coup was Admiral Parnell. The Committee of Public Safety removed the formal post, though not the duties.
After the Theisman Coup and the resurrection of the Republic of Haven this post was restored and Thomas Theisman currently holds it, along with the position of Secretary of War.
