Chelora is a census town in Kannur district in the state of Kerala, India 7 km from Kannur town and lies on Kannur-Mysore Highway.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[1] Chelora had a population of 19,566. Males constitute 48% of the population and females 52%. Chelora has an average literacy rate of 85%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 87% and female literacy of 84%. 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.
