"Spring Forward" is a film written and directed by Tom Gilroy starring Ned Beatty, Liev Schreiber and Campbell Scott. It was released in 1999 by IFC Films and MGM for DVD.

MPAA Rating: R for language and some drug content.

Plot

Two men, Paul and Murphy, work together in the park system, and they form a relationship. Paul is an ex-convict, recently released from prison (arrested for armed robbery). Murphy is a war veteran, and is middle-aged. He has a grown son named Bobby, who is dying. Paul develops a sensitive, spiritual side, while Murphy seeks forgiveness for the mistakes he has made as a father. The relationship between these two men become very strong, almost as a father and son.
