Adampur is a city and a municipal council in Jalandhar district in the Indian state of Punjab.

Geography

The nearest hill station is Dharamshala which is the headquarters of the Dalai Lama. Another noteworthy hill-station around Adampur is McLeodganj.

The airforce base at Adampur is the second largest in india.There is also a Khadi Bhandar innagurated by Mahatma Gandhi

Demographics
