Greg the Bunny
Dan Milano created the character Greg the Bunny on public access in New York. The character then found a home with the Independent Film Channel, where The Greg the Bunny Show focused on film trivia and movie parodies. It was there that he, along with Spencer Chinoy and Sean Baker (among others), came up with other characters such as Warren the Ape (aka Warren DeMontague), Count Blah and the Wumpus.
Milano originally voiced all the characters, sometimes performing two at a time, a puppet on each hand. When the show moved to the Fox sitcom format, they expanded the cast of puppeteers to include Drew Massey, James Murray and Victor Yerrid. After the Fox sitcom was canceled, they returned to the Independent Film Channel with a half hour special called "Fur on the Asphalt", the Greg the Bunny Reunion Special, followed by two more seasons of film parodies.
In late 2009 it was announced that MTV had picked up a spinoff of Greg the Bunny called Warren the Ape. The show is set to premiere on June 14, 2010 at 10:30PM ET. Again, Milano performs the main character Warren 'the Ape' Demontague, while also serving as co-writer and co-producer.[3]
Currently available on DVD are the Fox sitcom Greg the Bunny - The Complete Series, Greg the Bunny - Best of the Film Parodies (Vol. 1), and The Passion of Greg the Bunny: Best of the Film Parodies, Vol. 2.[4]
Short Circuit Remake
Milano is working on a remake of the 1986 hit film Short Circuit; he has completed his first draft and is working on the second. Four years after the movie was released (1990), he was involved in a car accident with Billy Laustsen and was placed in a halo/neck brace for several months. 8/5/10 [5]
Dungeons & Dragons Robot Chicken Videocast
Dan organized with Chris Perkins, Creative Manager of Dungeons & Dragons for Wizards of the Coast a video podcast wherein several writers and performers of Robot Chicken were introduced and played a game of D&D with Perkins acting as Dungeon Master. This was in response to several D&D audio podcasts that Perkins had made with the creators of the Penny Arcade and PvP webcomics.
