Sosuke Sumitani

Sōsuke Sumitani (炭谷宗佑 "Sumitani Sōsuke", January 14, 1980 in Tokyo) is a Japanese announcer for Nippon Television. He was known for his good looks and was the sports announcer on various shows, slowly becoming a household name. Sumitani graduated from the Department of Economics at Keio University.

On May 18, 2006, Sumitani was charged with illegal photography of a minor after videotaping under a high school girl's skirt while riding up an escalator at JR Yokohama Station. The incident happened on February 20, after a railroad police officer on patrol saw him taping under the girl's skirt. Sumitani quickly confessed saying, "I was turned on and followed my temptations. I sincerely apologize."

2channel users were quick to dub Sumitani as "Masashi Tashiro #2".
