Liz Hayes

Elizabeth "Liz" Hayes (born Elizabeth Ryan on 23 May 1956) is an Australian television presenter. In a long career with the Nine Network, Hayes is best known for her work as a correspondent on "60 Minutes", and as a former co-host of "Today" in which she held for a decade.

She started her career as a cadet journalist on the local "Manning River Times" newspaper, becoming assistant editor. She moved to Sydney and worked for New Idea and TV Week for a few weeks, before becoming a reporter for Channel Ten's Eyewitness News. In 1981 she was signed to Channel 9, reporting for National Nine News and then presenting the 11.30 Morning News. She moved to the 'Today Show' with Steve Liebmann in 1986 and joined 60 Minutes in 1996.

Hayes was briefly married to advertising entrepreneur John Singleton in 1991, his 4th wife.
