The New Group

The New Group, located at 410 West 42nd Street, is an artist-driven Off-Broadway theatre company.

The New Group's past productions have received 7 Obies, 21 Drama Desk nominations, 6 Lucille Lortel Awards, 3 Tony Awards including Best New Musical, and the Calloway, Kalbie, Taking Off, and Theatre World Awards.

The New Group is run by founding Artistic Director, Scott Elliott, and Executive Director, Geoff Rich.

Premiers

In 2007 The New Group produced the premier of Bernard Weintraub's play The Accomplices, based on the thwarted efforts of Hillel Kook to prod the United States to do more to rescue European Jews during the Holocaust.
