Cuttermaran

Cuttermaran is a computer software application used for splitting MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 video files into smaller parts. Its name is a portmanteau of "cutter" (as in to split) and "catamaran", a two-hulled boat.

Input video must be split into separate audio and video streams (demultiplexed).

Cuttermaran was first released in 2003. Licensed under the GNU General Public License, Cuttermaran is free software. The current version, 1.69a, was released on 17 December 2007. Cuttermaran requires the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 and DirectX 9b.
