Holden McNeil

Holden McNeil

Holden McNeil is a character played by Ben Affleck in two of Kevin Smith's films "Chasing Amy", and "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back". He falls in love with Alyssa Jones (portrayed by Joey Lauren Adams), a lesbian with an unusual past. Holden feels jealous and begins to resent Alyssa for her rich and varied sexual history. At the same time, tension develops at home with his friend and business partner Banky Edwards (played by Jason Lee), whose possessive feelings towards Holden develop into a full-blown homosexual crush. Holden is also losing interest in the immature humor of his and Banky's collaborative comic, "Bluntman and Chronic". These conflicts are the plot of "Chasing Amy".
