Eugen Polanski (born March 17, 1986 in Sosnowiec, Poland) is a Polish-born German footballer.

Polanski is a midfielder and has played for Borussia Mönchengladbach professionally since the 2004–05 season, joining the club from local Concordia Viersen in July, 1994. In his third Bundesliga appearance, against Bayer Leverkusen on November 19, 2005 (1-1), Polanski scored his first, and so far only, Bundesliga goal. Used either in central defensive midfield or on the right side midfield, the member of the German Under-21 team had been representing Germany all the way through in his youth and often showed up as captain of the selections.

Vigorously turning down a hasty effort of Poland's then manager Pawel Janas to switch back nationalities in time to represent the country of his birth at the 2006 FIFA World Cup, Polanski was a key member of the German Under-21 team at the UEFA U-21 Championship 2006, scoring a magnificent long-range goal in the fixture against Serbia and Montenegro. His form during the tournament made former Champions League finalist AS Monaco enquire about his services, receiving a swift and proper rejection from Borussia Mönchengladbach.

His contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach expired at the end of the 2007-08 and moved to La Liga side Getafe CF.
