Bay Colony Baseball and Athletics, LLC - the parent company of the River Eels - is targeting May 2007 for the team's on-field launch.The ballpark will feature 5,000 seats, 20 luxury suites and a left-field picnic pavilion with seating for 300. Additional viewing areas will bring the facility's total capacity to 6,000.
Bay Colony Stadium is part of a complex which will also be home to a convert|10000|sqft|m2|-3|sing=on convention center/banquet facility, , and a three-story, convert|10000|sqft|m2|-3|sing=on office building.
The entire complex is to be built on 28.1 acres of land, located behind the Colony Place shopping plaza in Northwest Plymouth.
