*"P. nevesi" Kellner $ Campos, 2002 (type)"Pycnonemosaurus" is a
genus of carnivoroustheropod dinosaur that belonged to the familyAbelisauridae . It was found in the Upper Cretaceous Bauru-type red conglomerate sandstone, in theMato Grosso , inBrazil and lived about 70 million years ago, during the LateCretaceous (Maastrichtian stage). Thus far, fossil finds are fragmentary: five incomplete teeth, parts of seven caudal
vertebra e, the distal part of a right pubis, a righttibia , and the distal articulation of the rightfibula . The small pubic foot and hatchet-shaped cnemial crest of the tibia distinguish this species within the Abelisaurs. Thetype species , "Pycnonemosaurus nevesi", was formally described by Kellner and Campos in 2002.External links
