] In 2007, Armen Firman recorded an early version of their track 'Porch Dweller' which saw bassist James Saunders sing lead vocals for the first time.

The band spent the first half of 2008 writing and recording their debut EP with producer Franc Tetaz. In between recording the band competed in the highly publicized Garage 2 V competition, in which they were a Victorian finalist. Armen Firman released the single "Porch Dweller", in May, which was well received in Australia and exploded onto the digital music scene. The song received over 12,000 downloads in its first 6 weeks, and was dubbed 'Single of the Week' on iTunes Australasia as well as receiving rave reviews in multiple music publications. According to a radio interview with Armen Firman, Wally De Backer (a.k.a. Gotye) helped record the vocals in the band's home studio. In August 2008, Armen Firman released their second single, "In The Water", from their as-yet-unreleased debut EP, directly to radio. The song gained the band a feature spot on Myspace Australia and was again added to the playlists of various indie radio stations around Australia. Creative Vibes will distribute Armen Firman's debut EP, titled "Your Name In My Skin" when it is released on October 17, 2008.
