Isa Genzken

Isa Genzken (born 1948, Bad Oldesloe, Germany) is an artist based in Berlin.

Genzken studied at the Hamburg College of Fine Arts [http://www.hfbk-hamburg.de/hfbk_homepage/hfbk_hamburg/website/index.php] from 1969-1971, the Berlin University of Fine Arts [http://www.udk-berlin.de] from 1971-1973 and Dusseldorf Art Academy [http://www.kunstakademie-duesseldorf.de] from 1973-1977.

She won the International Art Prize (Cultural Donation of SSK Munich) in 2004 and the Wolfgang-Hahn-Prize [http://www.wolfgang-hahn-preis.d] (Museum Ludwig [http://www.museenkoeln.de/english/museum-ludwig/] , Cologne) in 2002. She has exhibited at many important galleries and museums including Palais des Beaux Arts [http://www.bozar.be/home.php?lng=en] in Brussels, Museum Haus Lange [http://www.krefeld.de/] , Krefeld, P.S. 1 [http://www.ps1.org/] in New York and Hauser & Wirth [http://www.ghw.ch/index.php] in London. Her multi-media approach include using various mediums including sculpture, photography, film, video, works on paper and canvas, collages and books.
