Surajpur is a town and a nagar panchayat in India. It is located in the Surguja district of the state of Chhattisgarh. It is 43 km west of the district headquarters Ambikapur. National Highway 78 has its route through Surajpur.

Geography

Demographics

As of 2001 India census [GR|India] , Surajpur had a population of 16,835. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%.
