Hawnay Troof is the electronic pop solo project of Vice Cooler. Since forming in 2003, the project was formed to create a celebration between the performer and listener while introducing untraditional ideas, such as a mix of genres, into electronic music. Since the band's inception, this has been executed by a number of live shows and records. Unifying past language barriers, the band has performed in many strange places throughout the world to a positive response.

Within the music, there are many elements of pop, club, punk, and electronica, while lyrically it covers an array of subjects such as relationships, politics, death, celebration, and tragedy. In the past Cooler has sited his daily life as his main muse.

Throughout the years, Hawnay Troof has had an impressive list of collaborators including Soft Pink Truth, BARR, Mika Miko, Allison Wolfe, Gravy Train!!!!, and Stereo Total. Their debut full length "Get Up: Resolution: Love!" put the band on a successful worldwide tour including its first shows in Iceland, Australia, and New Zealand.

In 2005, Hawnay Troof released the critically acclaimed "Community" followed by the Double LP and photobook Dollar and Deed (Retard Disco/ Southern, June 2006). The album was followed by a twenty month world tour playing such places as Egypt, United States, China, and the festival circuit in Europe. The tour ended in November 2007 with a month's worth of dates in Europe with Stereo Total.

The band's new album "Islands Of Ayle" was released in September 2008. The first single, for the song Connection, was shot in July of 2008 at The Smell in Los Angeles. It features an array of Smell regulars including members of Imafucking Gymnist, Kyle Mabson, and the owner of the club, Jim Smith. The video has been highly praised and has broken through to such unlikely places as the Independent Film Channel, Vh1, and MTV2.
