Gavino

San Gavino was a Byzantine Saint who was greatly celebrated in Sardinia, Italy. The famous main Church of Gavoi, a romanic temple, is dedicated to this saint, as well as the town of San Gavino Monreale.Another temple, from the 11th century, dedicated to this saint is located in Porto Torres, Sassari.It was built by Comita or Gomida, Judge of Torres and in it are exposed S.Gavino's bones,together with Proto's and Gianuario's(or Gonare),his two companions of martyrdom, ones.

Of Italian descent,can be found in the high altitudes of Huachupampa. Although a rare and unique last name they can be found all over the world. The best of their kind live in Miami, FL. The first American born was Catherine Gavino whose parents are Glaber Alejandro Gavino and Amanda Victoria Ruiz. She also has a sibling by the name of Cristian Alexander Gavino who is also the first and so far the only American born boy.
