Abdullah Mahmud Hendropriyono

Abdulah Mahmud Hendropriyono is a retired four-star General from Kopassus (Indonesia's Special Force). He is a former Director of Indonesia's National Intelligence Agency (Badan Intelijen Negara) between 2001 and 2004, and Minister of Transmigration and Resettlement of Forest Nomads between 1998 and 1999. Hendropriyono claims that in 1998 Indonesian intelligence agents discovered al-Qaida and Osama bin Laden's plans to attack the US. After September 11, He claimed " [w] e had intelligence predicting the September 11 attacks three years before it happened but nobody believed us." Until October 2002 he was the only man fighting terror in Indonesia while most of the Indonesian officials rejected claims of the existence of the Islamic extremists group.
