Enciklopedija Slovenije

"Enciklopedija Slovenije" ("Encyclopedia of Slovenia") is a Slovene encyclopedia that contains topics related to Slovenia. It was published during the years 1987-2002 in 16 volumes by Mladinska knjiga in co-operation with the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts [Enciklopedija Slovenije] .

The editors of the encyclopedia were Marjan Javornik, Dušan Voglar and Alenka Dermastia, editors of special topics were Rajko Pavlovec, Blaž Resman, Janez Stergar, Zdravko Mlinar, Peter Weiss, Tone Wraber, Aleš Krbavčič and Tone Ferenc [Enciklopedija Slovenije] .

For the complete work on "Enciklopedija Slovenije", the publishing house Mladinska knjiga received Častni znak svobode Republike Slovenije (Golden medal of Freedom of the Republic of Slovenia), the highest rank of medal that is awarded in Slovenia [ [http://www2.gov.si/up-rs/1992-2002/mk.nsf/430e56ecfaa7ac6ac125678c003a815a/245f9585923c3cf5c12567910041fa88?OpenDocument Sporočilo za javnost ] ] .
