Russell Patterson

Russell Patterson (1894 – March 17, 1977) was an American cartoonist.

He received the National Cartoonist Society Advertising and Illustration Award for 1957, and the Elzie Segar Award in 1974.

He created the cartoon "Mamie" that appeared in the New York Times. He also helped promote the idea of the 1930s fashion style known as the flapper.
