Kolomensky District

Kolomensky District ( _ru. Коло́менский райо́н) is an administrative and a municipal district ("raion"), one of thirty-eight administrative and thirty-six municipal districts in Moscow Oblast, Russia. It is located in the south-eastern part the oblast and borders with Lukhovitsky, Ozyorsky, Stupinsky, Voskresensky, and Yegoryevsky Districts and the territory of the town of Kolomna. The area of the district is km2 to mi2|1090.54|precision=2."Charter of the Municipal Formation of "Kolomensky District of Moscow Oblast" adopted on June 2, 2000; with subsequent amendments ] Its administrative center in the ancient town of Kolomna, which, however, is administratively separate from the district. District's population: 40,780 (2002 Census); 44,477 (1989 Census).

Main rivers flowing through the district are the Oka and the Moskva. They are relatively clean.
