Broderick Thomas (born February 20, 1967 in Houston, Texas) is a former professional American football player in the NFL.

A 6'4", 254-lb. linebacker and defensive end, Thomas was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 1st round (6th overall) of the 1989 NFL Draft. He played nine seasons in the NFL for the Buccaneers, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, and Dallas Cowboys.

Thomas was a two-time All-American at the University of Nebraska and was later named to the Nebraska All-Century team [ [http://sharkfeet.tripod.com/nebraskallcentury.htm Husker Football All Century Team ] ] . He was named the 36th greatest Buccaneer player of all time in 2003 [ [http://www.bucpower.com/broderick-thomas.html Bucpower.Com ] ] . Thomas is also the nephew of former Chicago Bears linebacker Mike Singletary. He is also famous for trying to board a plane with a loaded handgun in his luggage. He sparked controversy in calling the University of Missouri football program "bottom of the barrel" on a call in radio show after Nebraska lost to Missouri 41-6 on October 6, 2007.
