LoCoARTS is an Argentine entertainment web site.
It host and creates the series "
Alejo y Valentina ", that gives the site around 50,000 daily visitors. Alejandro Szykula is the scriptwriter, drawer and animator of the series, and he also provides the voices for most of the characters. The episodes are created usingMacromedia Flash and are based on an absurd (yet not vulgar) humour very far from other series from this genre like the popularSouth Park and Argentine "Mono Mario". Its popularity on the web has brought it to the TV.MTV Latinamerica is now broadcasting the series in the form of weekly 30 minute episodes.LoCoARTS also offers the series "Timotines", about a group of children which is a tribute to
South Park . "Timotines" has only one chapter as of yet.A new series is also in development, "Reynaldo", which follows the adventures of a well-built hitman who is forced to kill people by an evil teddy bear. This bear speaks English and uses lots of profanities. These phrases are translated to Spanish by captions that remove the curses to produce a comical effect.
