Dynamics (physics)

Dynamics (physics)

In physics the term dynamics customarily refers to the time evolution of physical processes. These processes may be microscopic as in particle physics, kinetic theory, and chemical reactions, cite book |title=Theories of Molecular Reaction Dynamics: The Microscopic Foundation of Chemical Kinetics |author=Niels E. Henriksen, Flemming Y. Hansen |url=http://books.google.com/books?id=vVLYDSmZglIC&dq=intitle:microscopic+intitle:dynamics&lr=&as_brr=0&source=gbs_summary_s&cad=0 |isbn=0199203865 |year=2008 |publisher=Oxford University Press] or macroscopic as in the predictions of statistical mechanics and nonequilibrium thermodynamics.
