Racing UK is a subscription-only channel airing horse racing from 30 UK courses. The 31 courses are effectively the owners of the channel [ [http://www.racinguk.tv/site/FAQs_16.asp Frequently Asked Questions] Racing UK website] which was launched in 2004 - after racecourses were given the freedom of their own broadcast rights. The other 28 UK courses (including seven owned by Arena Leisure) broadcast their races on At The Races.

Unusually, it does not appear in the BARB audience ratings or in the list of channels for Sky's EPG lineup on November 29, 2005. Channel 4 Racing features meetings from the Racing UK courses having signed a three-year contract which runs between January 1, 2007 and December 31, 2009 - the contract guarantees 80 days of racing each year on Channel 4 including Glorious Goodwood for the first time.
