TTC Birney Cars

The TTC operated double end Birney streetcars from 1921-1940. The were acquired in the purchase of the Toronto Civic Railways in the 1921 and used by the TTC mainly on the COXWELL, PARLIAMENT and DAVENPORT routes (and initially, very briefly, on the BLOOR WEST and DANFORTH streetcar routes.

Three were sold in 1926 to Cornwall, eight in 1927 to Halifax Nova Scotia and the remaining fourteen in 1941, also to Halifax.
