Mona Bhatt

Mona Bhatt was one of the finalists of Fame Gurukul, one of the most watched Indian reality television shows. She was chosen from among thousands of Indians who auditioned.

On stage she can sing and dance and has done both at competitive level. She has been learning classical music from the Gandharva School of Music and is certain that it is training that has helped her to stand out among the millions who auditioned for Fame Gurukul. When it comes to popular music Lata Mangeshkar is her all time favourite.

Despite not having a musical family background, her parents always supported her. After staying in the Gurukul, Bhatt made 11 life long true friends and also gained a lot of knowledge about music from the faculty members. Due to her fan following, popularity and stage show offers, it has become difficult for her to attend college lectures. Bhatt always wanted to become a play back singer and in order to fulfill this dream of hers; she has shifted her base from Delhi to Mumbai.

In the Summer of 2008, Mona Bhatt, along with co-contestant Rex D'Souza and Sa Re Ga Ma contestant Dharna Pahwa toured with Masala Cruises to their destinations of St. John, Alaska, Mexico, Jamaica and Grand Cayman Island.
