USS Cyane

Three ships of the United States Navy have been named "Cyane", a Latin word for the blue-green color cyan.

* The USS|Cyane|1796, was originally "HMS Cyane" captured in 1815 and taken into the US Navy, where she served until 1835.

* The USS|Cyane|1837, was a 22-gun sloop-of-war, launched in 1837 and decommissioned in 1871.

*The USS|Cyane|YFB-4, was formerly the "Gwin", renamed "Cyane" on 11 April 1918.
