91 Aquarii, also known as Psi1 Aquarii (bayer-blank|ψ|1|Aqr / bayer-blank|ψ|1|Aquarii), is a multiple star system approximately 148 light-years away in the constellation of Aquarius. The system comprises five stars, with the primary star being an orange giant star. As of 2003, an extrasolar planet is known to orbit the primary star.

Star system

The primary star (91 Aquarii A) is an orange giant star with an apparent magnitude of +4.24. At a separation of 49.6 arcseconds from the primary is a binary companion composed of two 10th magnitude stars (91 Aquarii B and C). They are 0.3 arcseconds from each other. The system has two other components, the 13th magnitude (91 Aquarii D) 80.4 arcseconds from the primary and the 14th magnitude (91 Aquarii E) 19.7 arcseconds from B.

Planetary system

In 2003, the discovery of an extrasolar planet orbiting a giant star was announced.
