Service station

Service station is a term with different meanings in different parts of the world:

* Filling station, in the United States, Australia, France and New Zealand, a gas/petrol station that also may offer such services as oil change and mechanical repairs to automobiles
* In the United Kingdom, it refers to much larger facilities, usually attached to motorways or major trunk routes, which provide food outlets, large parking areas, and shops — see rest area
* In some cases, a service station can refer to a mini-branch, where only core services are offered through minimal resources.
