Geoff Nutkins (
12 June 1951 –) is a Britishaviation artist , working ingouache andpencil . He has been painting for over 20 years.Geoff's works focus on
World War II , and in particular theBattle of Britain period. A number of his works feature theSupermarine Spitfire ,Hawker Hurricane andMe109 , but they include many other RAF, USAAF andLuftwaffe aircraft and pilots. His paintings frequently feature in aviation magazines and books.Geoff is a member of the
Guild of Aviation Artists , winning the much-coveted Nockold Trophy at the annual exhibitions in 1998 and 1999. His works are in collections around the world, both private and public, including theRAF College , Cranwell, theRoyal Air Force Museum , Hendon and the RAF Club, Piccadilly, London.Geoff's "Scenes of the Battle of Britain" series raised over £100,000 for the RAF Benevolent Fund Reach for the Sky appeal. Set No.1 was presented to Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother at
Clarence House inLondon .Geoff is also a keen
aviation archaeologist and a co-founder of theShoreham Aircraft Museum .External links
