The Scaled Composites SpaceShipThree is a proposed orbital spaceplane to be developed by Virgin Galactic and Scaled Composites if SpaceShipTwo is successful. SS3 would be part of Scaled Composites/Virgin Galactic's Tier Two program of orbital spaceflight. SpaceShipThree will be a commercial rocket. It would be able to travel the same range as the Space Shuttle. A contest will begin to see which rocket would be Scaled Composites SpaceShipThree.Fact|date=May 2008
