Lev David

Lev David, (born August 8, 1980, Durban, South Africa) is a writer, radio producer and presenter, and media consultant. He is both founder and chief executive officer of "Say Yay Media", having previously founded and headed the consulting branch of "Lev David Media".

After writing for major South African newspapers from the age of fifteen, David went on to study economics at the University of Natal (now the University of KwaZulu-Natal), before being headhunted in 2001 by regional radio giant, East Coast Radio as executive producer of the "Morning Drive Show". Having resigned from East Coast Radio in 2005 to pursue other interests, David is now involved in the development of television series, radio features for several radio stations and various new media initiatives. He continues to write humour for the print media.

David has been published by the South African newspaper "Mail & Guardian" and spoke on a panel of some of the most powerful people in South African radio at Africa's first international radio conference, RadioCon Africa 2004. He was only 24 at the time. David appeared alongside other top South African radio personalities on the South African version of the television gameshow, "The Weakest Link" in 2004.

David is joint holder (along with Gary Mortimer) of the South African high-altitude hot air ballooning record, reaching 30,334 feet after launching from the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. He broadcasted live to East Coast Radio during the record attempt.
