P. Swaroop Reddy

Sri Pamulparthy Swaroop Reddy (b. 1949) is an Indian judge. He is presently serving on the Andhra Pradesh High Court.

Biography

Sri P. Swaroop Reddy was born on 1 October 1949 into an agricultural family at Pamulparthy village of Medak District, Andhra Pradesh. He completed his high school education in Hyderabad and completed his B.Sc. and LL.M. at Osmania University. He enrolled as an advocate in 1972 and joined in the law practice of Sri E. Ayyapu Reddy, a criminal lawyer. He joined in the state judicial service as a district civil judge in 1976 and was promoted to subordinate judge and district judge. Reddy has worked at various locations around the state. He has also worked as a judicial registrar, and administration registrar, and a registrar general of the high court of Andhra Pradesh.

He was sworn in as an additional judge of the Andhra Pradesh high court on 26 May 2005, and the President of India appointed him a permanent judge of the Andhra Pradesh High Court on 20 February 2006.
