Peketi Sivaram (Telugu: పేకేటి శివరాం) (b: 1918 - d: 2006) is famous South Indian actor and director.[1]

Life sketch

He was born on October 8, 1918 in Pekeru village in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, India.

He acted in many Telugu, Tamil, Kannada films. He got recognition for the Bhagavan character in Devadasu (1953).

He directed a few Telugu and Kannada films including Chuttarikalu (1968), Bhale Abbayilu (1969), Kula Gouravam (1972) starring N. T. Rama Rao and Rajkumar.

He received the H. M. Reddy award in 2002.

He died in Chennai on December 30, 2006.

Personal life

He has four sons and four daughters. His son Peketi Ranga is an art director.. His son-in-law Thiyagarajan is an actor,director. His grandson Prasanth, son of Thiyagarajan is a Tamil actor still working in Tamil movies.
