The Painted wood turtle (Rhinoclemmys pulcherrima), or Ornate wood turtle is a turtle species of the Rhinoclemmys genus in the family Geoemydidae. It is found in Mexico (from Sonora southwards) and Central America, up to Costa Rica.[1] There are four recognized subspecies.[2]
