Biography

Omer Pasha Vrioni II, 1839-1928. Member of the great Bey family of Berat, Fier and Myzeqe, formerly cities and regions of the Ottoman Province of Ioannina, presently in Albania.

Member of the Albanian League of Prizren 1878, an Albanian endeavour that lead to country's Independence in 1912. Served as Prime Minister of Albania in the early 1920s. Founder of the city of Fier in 1864 together with his son, Kahreman Pasha Vrioni 1889-1955.
