Nora Francisca Blackburne

Nora Lee (21 April 1914–7 July 2009) was a Casting Director.

Nora Francisca Blackburne was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina daughter of a banker John Devereaux Blackburne and Francisca Magaria Lopez. Nora was educated at South Hampstead High School and then RADA (class of 1935). She was Assistant to the pioneering documentary film-maker Humphrey Jennings at the Ministry of Information’s Crown Film Unit and later had a series of jobs at the National Coal Board’s staff college, The Vache, Chalfont St Giles in Buckinghamshire, formerly the home of her previous husband Adam Alexander Dawson. She was right-hand woman to the clothes designer Angela Gore. She was first married to Adam Alexander Dawson, and secondly to Jack Lee from whom she was divorced in 1963.[1],[2].
