Nilson Corrêa Júnior, simply Nilson (born 26 December 1975 in Vitória), is a Brazilian footballer who plays for Vitória Sport Clube in the Portuguese first division, as a goalkeeper.

Club career

After spending his most of his Brazilian career representing modest clubs, Nilson moved to Clube Náutico Capibaribe in 2004, helping it reach the final of the Pernambuco State Championship. In the following year, he signed with Portugal's Vitória Sport Clube, being first-choice from the start, but not being able to prevent, however, the Guimarães outfit from being relegated to the second division in his first season.

After only missing two league games in the 2006–07 season, as the Minho club returned to the top flight, Nilson played in all matches in the following campaign, as Vitória achieved a third place, good enough for UEFA Champions League qualifying round honours.

International career

Nilson played for Brazil at under-20 level. In late May 2011, he was invited by Portuguese Paulo Duarte to represent the Burkinabé football team.^[1]
