Biography

Formescu claims descendance from an aristochratic family, von Furthmeyer of Bavaria.[citation needed] She started to sing and dance at the National Musical theatre "Operetta" in Bucharest from the age of three, becoming a child prodigy. Later on, she became a flautist, playing as a soloist with all of the major Philharmonic Orchestras from Romania. Some of her recordings became part of the Gold Musical Archives of her Country. She finished the Lyceum "George Enesco" and the Conservatoire "Ciprian Porumbesco" from Bucharest Romania.

She was granted political asylum in the United Kingdom in 1990. In 1991 she obtained her post graduate degree in music at the London College of Music (L.L.C.M) and a MENSA Certification.[citation needed] After collaborating with Yehudi Menuhin and James Galway she entered the pop music scene as a singer-songwriter. After writing for many artists in collaboration with other song writers and producers from the United States and Great Britain, like Celine Dion, BoyzMen, Kylie Minogue and many more, she had a No.1 Hit Single "If You Come Back" that she penned for British boy band, BLUE, holding 4 Platinum Discs in Great Britain alone. The song became No.1 in approximately 12 countries around the World and Nicole entered in The Guinness World Records "British Hit Singles" for her work (the song "If You Come Back" staying at the No.1 spot for 13 weeks).[citation needed]

Nicole now has musical career, not only as a writer but also as a solo artist. She has sung for Stevie Wonder, wrote and sung a duet with Lee Ryan (member of boy band Blue) and released her first Album "Wiser" in 2008, making her one of the most played artist on MySpace UK.[citation needed]
