Newgen Software Technologies Limited is a software company focused on providing Business Process Management (BPM) and Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions to corporate and government organizations. The company was founded in 1992 by Mr. Diwakar Nigam.^[1] In 2008, Newgen Software received the financial backing of HSBC Private Equity^[2] and SAP Ventures^[3], who hold a minority stake in the company.

Newgen delivers end-to-end Business Process Management (BPM) solutions (software products and services) including Process Modeling, Simulation, Workflow Automation, Rules Management and Business Activity Monitoring. The Enterprise Content Management^[4] solution includes Document Management, Imaging, Data & Document Capture, Records Management, Report Archival & Distribution, Email Management and Customer Communication Management. The company owns the entire IPR of its BPM and ECM product Suites. The company has 850+ installations in over 48 countries in verticals such as Banking, Insurance, BPO, SSC, Financial Institutions, Government, Healthcare, Telecom, Defense and Manufacturing.

The company has over 1100 employees and its software development centers are in New Delhi and Chennai. It also has regional sales and support offices located in USA , Middle East, South East Asia, Europe, & Africa. Newgen has a fully owned subsidiary Newgen Software Inc. in USA. Newgen’s Quality Systems are certified against ISO 9001:2008 and Information Security Standard, ISO 27001:2005. Newgen has been assessed at CMMI Level4.

Newgen has products like Omnidocs(Document Management System), Omniflow(Business Process Management Tool),etc.

The organizations has been recognized by top analysts like Gartner, IDC, Forrestor, CMS Watch, Frost & Sullivan etc. Gartner has recognized Newgen's popular software OmniFlow and OmniDocs in its Gartner's Magic Quadrant for BPM and ECM respectively. Newgen implementations have won various awards and nominations. Newgen implementation at Fullerton India had won Gold Award at the 15th Global Awards for Excellence in BPM and Workflow 2009.
