The Musgrave Group is a major Irish food wholesaler, founded in Cork by the Musgrave brothers, Thomas and Stuart in 1876. Musgrave Group has become Ireland's largest grocery distributor. Today, the Group has operations in Ireland, United Kingdom and Spain. Musgrave is the largest private company in Ireland by turnover and has expanded by acquisition. Annual sales are over €4 billion. The current group CEO is Chris Martin.

The overall business is currently made up of seven divisions:

  • Musgrave Group

Overall controlling company of Musgrave, Head-quarthered at Ballycurreen, Airport Road in Cork. (adjacent to the Cork Musgrave MarketPlace Cash & Carry)

  • Musgrave Retail Partners Ireland

Operating the Centra and SuperValu supermarkets in Ireland, North and South, and the Mace brand in Northern Ireland. This division is head-quartered at the Tramore Road in Cork. This is also the site of one of 3 Distribution centres, the others being in Kilcock, Co. Kildare and Belfast to service Northern Ireland. They closed such a centre in Galway in 2010.[1]

  • Musgrave Wholesale Partners

Operating the Musgrave MarketPlace Cash & Carries, Daybreak/Day-Today & XL Stop and Shop (N.I. only) convenience stores and Musgrave Foodservices. This division is head-quartered at Ballymun, Dublin. There are Marketplace sites in Cork, Waterford, Limerick, Galway, Ballymun, Dun Laoighre and Clondalkin in the ROI. There are also 2 Marketplace branches in Northern Ireland in Belfast and Derry, in addition to the Holmes Cash & Carries at Enniskillen, Lurgan, Ballymena and Belfast.[2][3]

  • Musgrave Retail Partners GB

Operating the Londis stores and Budgens supermarkets in United Kingdom.

  • Musgrave Retail Partners Espãna which operates from a base in Alicante in south-east of Spain.

Operating Dialsur, and a Cash & Carry chain.
