My Pretend Orchestra was an Experimental / Art Pop project from the UK. My Pretend Orchestra started as a bedroom project and was formed into a band at various stages. The project is known for its many use of many instruments and blending music genre's such as Pop, Rock, Indie and Electronica.

In 2008 My Pretend Orchestra UK festivals such as Secret Garden Party.[1] and also provided the song "Lowlife" for the trailer of the upcoming movie "eF". In summer 2009 My Pretend Orchestra performed live BBC acoustic sessions and interviews[citation needed].

The band split in late 2009. As of June 2011 they formed Apples And Knives.
