The Muse Art Gallery started by Marriott as not-for-profit art gallery promoting art and charity in Hyderabad, India. It is located on the connecting sky bridge between Marriott and Courtyard by Marriott Hyderabad. Muse art Gallery is the biggest private art galleries in Hyderabad The gallery was launched by the Telugu actor Chiranjeevi and the US Consul General of Hyderabad on 22 October 2010. The gallery has a partner, curator Kaali Sudheer.[1]

The art gallery is intended to display contemporary art of various artists in support of a cause or charity. The expenditure incurred is underwritten by Marriott.

The US Consulate General Hyderabad has been active with the gallery in supporting the charity events. Art exhibitions have been held in the gallery to raise funds to combat AIDS, child labor, etc. An organisation from Chennai known as People AIDS Initiative produced an art show called Art AIDS and raised funds for food, shelter, and education for children affected with HIV.[2]

The following exhibitions have been held:[3]

  • Jayanth Manda works were exhibited in the gallery along with E. Rohini Kmar for the launch titled "Visual Symphony of Magical Rocks".
  • K. Shiva Kesava Rao works were exhibited titled "Emancipated Dynamics ". Kesav draws an analogy to voice his struggle with artistic conformity by saying "A particular Raga wherein variations are practiced, can only be explored within the framework of those particular notes". The focal agenda of this series of works is an attempt to emancipate form and spatial dynamics from the servitude of the conventional decree that binds and shapes the majority of the recent artwork, including his own former works. It is a quest to obtain a sustainable stability in his work without having to be bound to a generic orthodoxy of symmetry, pattern or figure.
  • Art AIDS works were exhibited of ten artists who donated their works for the society "People AIDS Initiative" in aid of shelter for children affected and infected with HIV/AIDS. People AIDS Initiative is a people movement to help and support homes taking care of affected and infected children in Tamilnadu. It brings out new people initiatives to address the needs of children. Mrs Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi is its Principal Patron. To achieve this goal, People AIDS Initiative brings together government and non-government organizations, corporate and business homes, individuals and groups of people from all walks of life to collectively contribute.
  • Hyderabad Art Society turns 70 years and exhibited works of the society collections.
  • Naandi Foundation displayed photos taken by different photographers on Child labor launched by the actress Amala.

  • Houston to Hyderabad. The US Consulate General, Hyderabad in association with MUSE Art Gallery, Marriott Hotel has organized an art exhibit ‘Houston to Hyderabad’, featuring 35 American artists and two Indian artists for first time in India so many artists have exhibited their works from USA in India.
  • Mahirwan MamtaniMandala Conscious Beings - Painting Exhibition by Mahirwan Mamtani. The main Thoughts of these works are Expansion of Consciousness. The Mandala masks represent emotions and the real self behind.
  • A fund-raising art event was conducted at Muse art gallery in Hotel Marriott on February 26.Art Curator Kaali Sudheer said that the programme, called Untitled, would have the paintings of Tamar Chatterjee , Sireeikanth Poduri and Veena Chitrakar showcased for sale.The sale proceeds will go to the Marriott Home (a home built by Marriott for under-privileged Children in Chennai).
