Mount McKenny

Mount McKenny (71°40′S 160°22′E / 71.667°S 160.367°E / -71.667; 160.367) is a mountain (1,890 m) at the south end of Daniels Range, 4 nautical miles (7 km) southeast of Mount Toogood, in the Usarp Mountains. Mapped by United States Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1960-63. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Clarence D. McKenny, United States Antarctic Research Program (USARP) meteorologist who wintered at the South Pole Station in 1959 and 1961, and at Eights Station in 1963.
